Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about participating in the premier kids business fair on the Space Coast.
Getting Started & Ideas
Q: How do I come up with a booth concept?
A: We suggest starting with what your child loves! If you need inspiration, our business fair ideas for kids page is a great resource. Popular business fair ideas range from handmade crafts and jewelry to service-based businesses like pet sitting or car washing.
Q: Can siblings work together?
A: Yes! Many young entrepreneurs at our kids business fair choose to work in pairs or small groups. Each business can have up to three participants.
The Rules of the Fair
Q: How much of the work should the parents do?
A: To ensure a rewarding experience, this Brevard fair is designed for the kids. While parents can act as "consultants," the children should be responsible for the branding, product creation, and sales. Our rules ensure that every kid's business fair booth is 100% kid-driven.
Q: Are there items we aren't allowed to sell?
A: For safety and local regulations at The Avenue Viera, we do not allow the sale of fire-related items (like candles) or certain prepared foods that require professional kitchen licensing. Please refer to our full Rules & Guidelines for a comprehensive list of restricted items.
Logistics & Location
Q: Where is the event held?
A: We are proud to host the event at The Avenue Viera, making it the central Brevard fair destination for families in Melbourne, Rockledge, and Merritt Island.
Q: Is there a fee to participate?
A: There is a nominal booth fee which helps cover the cost of the venue and materials. This fee teaches the young CEOs about "overhead" costs, a key lesson at any kids business fair.
